SARAH BAKER

I originally trained and worked as a garment technologist for various clothing retailers, but when my children started school, I began making and hiring costumes. Many of my skills were self-taught and so studying this degree and making the costumes has consolidated these skills and taught me new techniques, building on my existing experience. It has also given me a broader understanding of the costume industry and its requirements. I have very much enjoyed working and studying with such a group of talented people. On graduating I am hoping to work as a freelance costume maker and would love to work in the theatre, television, and film industries.
